the evil are not really there, they have a problem with being present
An installation developed in conversation with PhD research at Western University. I was making work in the studio and a range of production spaces while thinking through concepts of haunting, abstraction, and anxiety. Working with duration and composition through images, processes, and materials I became curious about the possibilities of making present what is hidden through it’s absence, through a “presencing of absence”.
Solo exhibition at ArtLab (London (CA), 2012).
Installation views. HD video, silver gelatin prints, inkjet prints, cast silver, cast wax, blown glass, cinafoil, LED lights, mirror, wood, paint, vinyl wall text, and cupcakes.
